See the museum first
⭐ The sculpture, sarcophagi and mosaics from these sites are in the Antalya Museum. ⚠️ It closed in July 2025 while a new building goes up on the same site; once it reopens, visit it before you go out, or the ruins will read as empty stonework.
Perge
The closest and the easiest: a colonnaded street, a stadium, and the south baths, on the flat just outside the city. This is where most of the museum's best sculpture came from.
Aspendos
The Roman theater that everyone comes for — one of the best-preserved anywhere, still with its stage building standing. The aqueduct in the fields nearby is worth the extra look and almost nobody walks to it.
Side
A Hellenistic and Roman port town on a headland, with the Temple of Apollo standing right at the water. ⚠️ It is also a busy resort, and the ruins sit inside the town rather than apart from it.
Termessos
The hard one and the best one: a mountain city the Romans never took, high in a national park, reached by a steep climb. The theater is cut into the hillside with a drop behind the stage.
⚠️ This is a walk, uphill, with no shade. Water and proper shoes.
Getting to them
A car or an organised tour for all four; the dolmuş reaches Perge and Side with a walk at the far end. Termessos in particular is not somewhere to arrive without transport arranged.
